Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Basement Bandits collects through this website, why we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

Effective and last updated: July 24, 2026

Plain-language summary: We use information you submit to evaluate and manage performance requests. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Payment-card details are handled by Stripe rather than stored by this website.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to basementbandits.com, its booking-request forms, and related communications initiated through the website. It does not govern independent websites, social platforms, ticketing services, merchandise providers, payment processors, or other third parties that publish their own privacy terms.

In this policy, “Basement Bandits,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the band and the people authorized to administer its website and booking operations.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Contact information: name, email address, telephone number, organization, venue, and related correspondence.
  • Event and booking information: requested date and time, event type, venue address, attendance estimates, stage dimensions, weather coverage, bathrooms, electrical power, PA-system details, parking, load-in information, restrictions, and notes.
  • Transaction and agreement information: booking status, contract references, deposit status, and payment-related records. Stripe processes payment-card information directly; we do not intend to store complete card numbers or card-security codes.
  • Communications: messages, questions, accessibility feedback, privacy requests, and other information you choose to send.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, hosting and security providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, requested URLs, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP address, security signals, and diagnostic logs. We may receive aggregated or limited analytics if those tools are enabled.

Sensitive information

Please do not submit government identifiers, medical information, financial-account credentials, full payment-card details, or other sensitive personal information through the general booking form unless we specifically request it through an appropriate secure process.

3. Sources of information

We collect information directly from you, from people acting on behalf of an event organizer or venue, from communications with us, from service providers that support the booking workflow, and automatically through ordinary website hosting and security operations.

4. How we use information

  • Evaluate availability, travel, pricing, production requirements, and event suitability.
  • Respond to inquiries and communicate about a potential or confirmed performance.
  • Prepare agreements, collect deposits, manage scheduling, and coordinate show logistics.
  • Maintain booking, accounting, tax, safety, and dispute-resolution records.
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot, improve, and measure the website and booking process.
  • Detect spam, fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and other harmful activity.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements and policies.

We do not use booking information for unrelated third-party advertising.

5. Service providers and sharing

We may disclose information to service providers and contractors that perform services on our behalf, subject to appropriate restrictions. Depending on which integrations are activated, these may include:

Resend or email providers
Booking notifications and transactional communications.
Stripe
Deposit and payment processing after a request is approved.
E-signature or contract providers

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights or safety, investigate misconduct, or complete a reorganization or transfer of the website or booking operation. We do not sell personal information for money and do not currently share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Cookies and device data

The site may use strictly necessary cookies, local storage, or similar technology for security, form operation, preferences, and fraud prevention. Third-party services may set their own cookies when you interact with embedded or linked services. We do not currently use advertising cookies.

Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not governed by a consistent industry standard. Where legally required and technically supported, we will treat recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, in accordance with applicable law.

7. Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to manage requests and confirmed events, maintain accounting and contract records, resolve disputes, protect the service, and satisfy legal obligations. Retention periods vary based on the record type, booking status, legal requirements, and operational need.

Unsuccessful or abandoned booking requests may be deleted or de-identified after they are no longer useful. Confirmed booking, contract, and transaction records may be retained longer.

8. Your privacy choices and rights

You may ask us to provide access to, correct, or delete personal information associated with you. You may also ask questions about our practices or withdraw consent where consent is the applicable basis for processing. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request, and legal exceptions may apply.

Depending on where you live and whether the relevant law applies to our activities, you may have additional rights such as the right to know categories and specific pieces of information collected, request deletion or correction, opt out of certain sales or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive information, appeal a decision, and receive equal service without unlawful discrimination for exercising a privacy right.

To submit a request, email booking@basementbandits.com with the subject “Privacy request.” Authorized agents should identify the person they represent and provide proof of authorization where required.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including HTTPS, restricted account and database access, server-side validation, security headers, optional bot verification, and payment processing through a specialized provider. No system or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

10. Children

The website is intended for adults arranging events and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information may contact us to request its deletion.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the website, integrations, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted here with a revised effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or directly when appropriate.

Questions and requests may be sent to booking@basementbandits.com.
